Background

Our client is a 100 year old established farmers’ owned food processor. Agriculture is at the heart of global rising food demand, and the business was keen to embrace new strategic challenges.

The Issue

There was a requirement to develop further commercial capability and effect a cultural transformation in order to embrace forthcoming and future growth potential in the sector, in order to increase market share, at home and abroad. There was therefore a need to shift from a production led culture to a market driven business.

The Outcome

We helped define and set up a range of initiatives aimed at transforming the culture including leadership development programmes, cultural survey, talent upgrade, and HR process redesign, particularly in the area of talent acquisition and development. This was in tandem with the required commercial objectives. The business is now well on its way with a transformational journey, while remaining anchored to its deep organisational foundations.
